“The Once and Future Antiquity: Classical Traditions in Science Fiction and Fantasy” conference will be held on 27-29 March 2015 at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. This international conference will feature an exciting array of papers, as well as two keynote talks (one by famed speculative fiction author Catherynne Valente, the other by University of British Columbia professor C. W. Marshall), a screening of the SF classic Forbidden Planet (dir. Wilcox, 1956) and round table opportunities for discussions about how people from different disciplines can engage in this burgeoning field of scholarship both in research and in the classroom.
