There will be a showing of “Mors Falsimoniae - The Film” on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 5 pm in the Special Collections Classroom. The film lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes and documents the performance that was given, live, on September 28, 2013. “Mors Falsimoniae” is based on Roman funeral games and includes a puppet version, in Latin, of Plautus’ “Casina”, featuring a live performance by Prof. Connors, with three UW Latin students as puppeteers, a gladiator dance and a circus performance.
This project began in Prof. Connors Roman Comedy class in September 2012 and grew from there.
