Carlson Leadership & Public Service Center invites applications for paid internships

Submitted by Catherine M Connors on September 30, 2019 - 3:19pm

The Carlson Leadership & Public Service Center is excited to announce the application period for Undergraduate Community-Based Internships (UCBI). If you are interested in working with nonprofit and public sector organizations, please read on --

UCBI is a paid internship program for undergraduate students interested in public service to explore, contribute, and grow as they work in, with, and for local communities. Internships run January to June; interns work on-site at host organizations throughout King County and participate in weekly cohort meetings on campus with peers and Carlson Center staff for deeper dives into power, privilege, identity, and other salient issues they confront in their daily work. The intern application will open on Monday, October 7. Prospective interns are highly encouraged to attend an upcoming info session next week:
Tuesday, October 8, 12:30-1:30 (MGH 171)
Thursday, October 10, 6:00-7:00 (MGH 171)
Please visit our website for more details. You can also email us at ucbiteam@uw.edu with questions. We look forward to meeting you and exploring community-based internship options for 2020!
Thank you,

Katie Wallace and the team of UCBI Mentors (Amaranta, Camille, Chaltu Lauren, Orlando, and Marissa)
