Larry Bliquez gave a talk at the University of Mississippi last November on his favorite topic: Greco-Roman Surgical Instruments . Brad Cook, who earned his Ph.D here in 1996 and now teaches at Ole' Miss, was the instigator of the visit. Larry had worked with the surgical equipment in the David Robinson Collection at Ole' Miss back in the 1980's; so the talk was accompanied by an exhibit of this material. Over 170 townspeople and students from the University and local grammar and high schools attended. It's great when you are the only act in town.
