My interest lies primarily in social history. My research envisions the lived experience of free and enslaved people with non-normative bodies (particularly short-statured people) in Imperial Rome, as well as how they were represented and what meanings were ascribed to their bodies. I am passionate about social activism and public scholarship, which leads me to seek out the aspects of Classical scholarship most relevant to the modern society.
